We love to share fun facts when everything is human and natural! This is how we choose our selections.

During one of our trips to Morocco we discovered Tamegroute pottery. The origins of this pottery go back several centuries.

What characterizes it is its green color.

The glaze of it, which will give a smooth and colorful effect, is produced after the first firing of the pottery at 1000 degrees Celsius in a traditional oven.

Cooking can take 24 hours to cook. After cooling inside the oven, the pottery came out coated with a mixture containing iron and copper, the dosage of which remains a manufacturing secret.

The green color is obtained by an oxidative cooking process, with very little oxygen entering the oven. This process, practiced in an artisanal way where cooking time and oxygenation are approximate, offers a variation of colors, which makes the result charming.

The recent introduction of other metals during glazing has resulted in a new variety of colors from olive green to translucent gray
